“Connecting with the professional community of the Lex Fellowship really eased my nerves coming into my first year of law school, especially since I studied business in undergrad and didn’t have that legal network. My Legal Associate, who is a 2L at George Washington Law, was amazing and has continued to stay in touch with me as I now begin law school.”

-Amber M., Bryant University

Details and Information:

  • Lex programs are robust in terms of the law firm exposure, legal training, and extended learning opportunities that prepare students for the law school admissions process and first year of law school. Housing accommodations, law firm visits, Legal Associate with a U.S. JD background, 24/7 on-site support staff, travel health insurance, cultural excursions, and more are included. View the full list here.

    • Deposit: The first $900 of the program fee is non-refundable and paid upfront to reserve a Fellow’s spot on the Fellowship, regardless of the city and date chosen.

    • Rest of the fee: There are two easy ways to pay: Either, pay in full (upon signing up), or in monthly payments (between signing up and the actual program).

    • Financing & Aid: Alumni often deem Lex one of the highest returns on investment in their educational path. Anyone can do it, and we offer many financing options, fundraising being one of the best. Learn more about financing and aid here.

  • Our refund and credit policy is reason-neutral, meaning that the same policy applies to withdrawals by students or (unlikely) cancellations by Lex, whether they are related to COVID-19 or any other factor. The $900 deposit is always non-refundable, but it can carry over as program credit.

    • >90 days before program: Full refund, deposit counted as credit toward future programs.

    • <=90 days before program, but >45 days before program: No refund, 100% of paid fees (including deposit) counted as credit toward future programs.

    • <=45 days before program: No refund, 20% of paid fees (including deposit) counted as credit toward future programs.

    • Language skills are not required

    • Alumni went on to 10 of the top 20 law schools

    • Lex alumni become some of the few law applicants to have seen global legal systems firsthand, and they often bring this up as a conversation in interviews

    • Lex programs include housing, some meals, excursions, health insurance, and more

    • In a PhD-authored study, 81% of a large sample of alumni progressed on the competencies that law schools use to assess applicants
