Excursions

Our excursions are designed to offer a deeper look into your host culture, for both the educational benefit and the pure enjoyment of exploring a new place with others who share your interests in travel and law. At the end of each week, program participants have the option to participate in an included, full-day excursion to a nearby city or local attraction that allows for further cultural immersion and exposure.

Excursions range from visiting a courthouse to attending a trial, from historical tours to culinary and cultural explorations. Your Site Manager will inform you of the different excursions they have planned during your program orientation. If you happen to make travel plans outside of your city for a weekend, and thus your travel plans conflict with the events your Site Manager has planned, we ask that you notify your Site Manager several days in advance so that they’re able to plan the excursion accordingly.

Evenings & Weekends

Evenings are set aside for Fellows to rest and explore the city they are visiting. Twice a week, group dinners take place so that the cohort can further enjoy each city’s unique culture and cuisine, while bonding as a team. Fellows are encouraged to really immerse themselves into culture by trying local delicacies, visiting museums that interest you, or even find a local pool to sunbathe next to!

By exploring their host city, engaging with locals, and enjoying the delights and challenges of an immersive experience, Fellows deepen and broaden their understanding of the culture that shapes the law. At the end of each week, Fellows have the option to participate in an organized full-day excursion to a nearby city or local attraction. While each day-long excursion is carefully planned and structured, students will still be able to go off and adventure on their own - as long as they make it back for whatever activity the Site Manager has planned next!
