Our Undergraduate Fellows Travel to Madrid, Spain for Real-World, Hands-On Legal Internships
Distilling legal internships into their best elements and combining them, the Lex Fellowship is designed to help students gain real-world legal insight and experience.
In cohorts of 15-20, Lex Fellows travel to 20+ Madrid, Spain law firms that range in size and legal discipline, in order to meet with and learn from their Lawyers and Managing Partners. What's more, Fellows work on real-world case exercises before their visits, and then go to speak with the Lawyers who argued that very case, to see their thought process, methodology, and insights.
Additionally, based on the particular program, Fellows may be able to sit in on client meetings and dispositions, go to trial, and/or work in a firm for a brief period.

Learning Directly, and Hands-On
We believe that the best way to learn the law is to go where the law is. Therefore, our Fellows go directly to the source: the firms.
The Lex Fellowship combines the best elements of legal internships into one experience. Visiting the firms, the Fellows not only hear the Lawyers and Managing Partners expound on their experience, but they also get to work through a case, applying the knowledge and skills they've already developed, and seeing what the hands-on work is like.
The Fellowship culminates in a final dinner, to which all the Lawyers the Fellows visited are invited, and during which the Fellows may speak at greater length and more in-depth with those Lawyers whose disciplines interest them.
As a comprehensive Legal Intensive Educational Institution, we complement university educations, picking up where they leave off. We educate students in the real-world by shadowing real Lawyers and Managing Partners at real firms, going through real cases.
